Becky Maniaci Serves on Historic King Drive Business Improvement District Board

In July 2005, the Historic King Drive Business Improvement District Board nominated Becky Maniaci as one of six new Board members. During her 3 year time, Becky served as Chair of its Marketing Committee and continues to be involved with the committee even after resigning from her Board position.

Desktop Solutions, Inc. Becomes State Certified WBE Business

The Wisconsin Department of Commerce has approved Desktop Solutions, Inc. for certification as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE). This certification demonstrates the State of Wisconsin’s recognition of the firm as a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise.

Future Milwaukee is a community leadership development program with more than 1,300 graduates. Over the past 30 years, participants have been making an impact on the Greater Milwaukee area through their leadership positions in government, business, higher education and religious and non-profit institutions.
Future Milwaukee’s mission is to develop, motivate and empower diverse, ethical leaders who create positive change in greater Milwaukee through effective civic engagement.
DSI Design President Becky Maniaci was one of 50 accepted into the 2006/07 program, and graduated in May 2007.

Urban Design Award
January 2005
On January 7, 2005, Becky Maniaci was presented with a Mayor's Urban Design Award for using carefully chosen and well-executed design elements in repairing the facade of our
Cream City brick building located at 1812 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Milwaukee.
The Mayor's Urban Design Award recognizes projects for innovative architecture, renovation and streetscaping in an ongoing effort to increase awareness of adding beauty and value to Milwaukee neighborhoods without compromising the urban fabric and character of their surroundings. |
